WHEN YOU’RE A member of One Direction, you can’t just get a hair cut.

For the past few weeks, Zayn had been sporting rather long, Disney prince-esque locks. Well he’s chopped it all off now, and appeared at the American Music Awards last night with a teddy boy quiff not too far from Johnny Depp’s look in Cry Baby.

To be fair, it is pretty slick.

Here’s the thing though: to the fans, this is not just a hair cut. This is EVERYTHING. To say they are fixated on that single lock of hair hanging on Zayn’s forehead is an understatement. Twitter practically went into meltdown.
